Aoife at 2.5 Years Old

My baby girl is 2 and a half years old, before I know it she is going to be a three year old and I will have a preschooler not a toddler!

In the last 6 months Aoife has grown so much, she has gone from being my one and only baby to big sister and she has certainly thrived in the role.

She adores her baby brother and he certainly saves some of his biggest smiles for her!

Aoife has successfully potty trained. She has been wearing pants in the day and at night for about 2 months now! I would offer my advice but to be honest I had no idea what I was doing, I just followed Aoife’s lead!

Aoife’s favourite toys at the moment include her train track, Paw Patrol Cars, Paw Patrol scooter and megablocks!

Favourite tv programmes currently are PJ Masks, Blaze and Paw Patrol. Favourite films are any of the Despicable Me films and Boss Baby!

At the moment our nursing relationship is still going strong. I am often asked when I plan to stop. And the short answer is I don’t. I plan to let Aoife self wean when she is ready. We are also still bedsharing, although I am hoping to move her into her own bed in the next six months (we’ll see how that pans out in the next update) as I am getting fed up of having a foot to the head! I’ve known someone that wriggles so much in her sleep!

In terms of development Aoife’s speech is coming on leaps and bounds. She speaks in sentences, although not always clear to most people, Luke and I can (almost) always understand her!

I can’t even begin to imagine how she is going to change in the next 6 months. Be sure to pop by when Aoife turns 3!
